I Love My Wife

Zahira 09 Sep 2010

I love my wife.

She is, to me, all the comfort and beauty of the world.

I fear the day she is returned to her Creator, leaving me in a bleak world.

My hope and trust is with my Lord, who will not place upon me a burden greater than I can withstand.

I am insha-Allah ta’aala getting married next month. I am hopeful that I will prove to be a good Muslim Husband. I have been reading some very painful stories of failed marriages, but inshaAllah I want to be grateful to my wife like you are Alhamdulillah.

I just read that you’re also a web developer! Alhamdulillah.

My Duas are with your my brother!

    Jazakallahu Khairan Katheera,
Wa aalikum us salam wr wb. :)

As Salaam Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu, my dear brother in Islam!

Marriage is hard. It’s important not to be stubborn or heavy-handed. View her as an extension of yourself. Ultimately, her happiness and yours will be bound together.

I had a very difficult first year of marriage and I believe that it was owing to my wife’s patience and determination that our marriage survived.

I learned to work hard on fixing those character flaws that I didn’t like about myself and my relationship with my wife improved.

May Allah ta’ala grant you and your wife a long and happy marriage.
